It has been an amazing year for young reggae recording artiste RANDY VALENTINE who has spent most of 2015 between airports and the studio.
Not only did he embark on 2 european tours after the release of his “Still Pushing” EP (which topped european ITUNES REGGAE CHARTS), But 2015 also saw him travel all around the world, as he set foot for the first time in AUSTRALIA last May, where he performed at WOMAD, as well as his first official acoustic performance at SIRIUS XM headquarters in NEW YORK CITY.
2015 also saw him participate in 2 of the most talked about projects of the year:
- He featured on MAJOR LAZER‘s single “Roll The Bass” from their “Peace is the Mission” EP which was certified No1 BILLBOARD Electronic/ Dance album last summer.
- He laid down backing vocals on WU TANG‘s now notorious Single-copy Album “The Wu: Once upon a time in Shaolin” – which was sold last month for the record price of 2 Million dollars last month to American pharmaceutical giant Martin Shkreli.
He also released a number of singles, including a track on VP RECORDS / GREENSLEEVES compilation record:“The Biggest One drop Anthems 2015″ produced by Legendary jamaican producer CLIVE HUNT (who amongst others worked with STEVIE WONDER, JIMMY CLIFF, PETER TOSH, THE WAILERS & Many more).
2016 seems very promising for the London based artist who is set to drop a Mixtape in january followed by his debut album end of the year. RANDY VALENTINE has his views set on attacking new markets as he will be performing in TRINIDAD in February, before travelling back to europe for the ROTOTOM & FRIENDS TOUR alongside JUNIOR KELLY, DANIEL BAMBAATA MARLEY and more.
He will then be embarking on his very first US TOUR in June and July covering both the east and west coast, and will be available for european summer festivals in August.
2016 will be a busy year for sure, in which we will continue to witness the talented RANDY VALENTINE‘s growth, as he presses his mission to spread his message of Love and “over”-standing to the four corners of the world.
